Why We Built This Site
Oklahoma gives the public broad access to court records under the state Open Records Act. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want, because Oklahoma County splits the work between two separate clerks. The Court Clerk, Rick Warren, keeps District Court case files, dockets, marriage licenses, traffic tickets, and court costs. The County Clerk, Maressa Treat, keeps land records, registrar-of-deeds filings, and UCC records. The Sheriff and the Oklahoma County Detention Center manage the jail roster and active warrants. Add the District Attorney and state agencies, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.
Oklahoma County sits in the Seventh Judicial District, with the Oklahoma County District Court serving as the trial court of general jurisdiction. Appeals split too. Civil appeals go to the Oklahoma Supreme Court, and criminal appeals go to the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. A first-time visitor rarely knows any of that, so the goal here is to map the local system in plain terms before you ever pick up the phone.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. The Oklahoma County Court Clerk can certify District Court documents, but the copy has to come from them, not from us.
